Orange has been actively participating in the solar energy competitive bidding regime and started bidding from the Punjab 500 MW State Policy tender. In all, Orange has participated in competitive bidding for more than 1GW in the various NSM and State competitive biddings.  

Currently Orange has a pipeline of 100 MW solar projects in the State of Maharashtra under JNNSM Phase-II Batch-III, Tranche-I, VGF Scheme of Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited. The company is targeting to build, own and operate 1GW of solar projects across India under various State and central Government schemes by 2017.

  • Orange Renewable forayed into Solar PV segment in July 2015 as the Solar market in India started to surge upwards. India has a target of 100GW of Solar by 2022, which is being driven by the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM) and is aimed at reducing the cost of solar power generation in the country. In line with the JNNSM scheme Orange Renewable has set a target of 1 GW of commissioned Ground Mounted Grid-Connected Solar PV projects by 2019.

  • To achieve our target, Orange Renewable has developed a core team of professionals with expertise and knowledge of the solar market, policies and the technology. The core team includes from individuals the Engineering, Procurement, Business Development, Legal Finance. As the market matures Orange Renewable will evolve as a Leading Solar Power Developer and will contribute to the JNNSM targets actively.
